AxeTasker guide

Your weekly command center: plan every hour, focus with timers, keep notes, build streaks, and let AxeBot do the busywork. Open AxeTasker →

Getting started

Sign in with Google

Open AxeTasker and sign in with your Google account. Login is handled once by Axe Home, the same session then works on DSA, Home and these docs.

Take the tour

On first visit an interactive tour walks you through the three tabs: Schedule Streaks Notes. You can retake it anytime from the header control center.

Pick your starting day

The app opens on today's column automatically. Switch days from the day selector whenever you want to plan ahead.

Schedule tab: your weekly timetable

Your week is a grid: days across the top, time blocks down the side (default blocks are 3h, 2h, 4h, 7h, 1h, 2h, 3h and Sleep). Click any cell and type. Everything auto-saves.

Add & edit tasks

Click a cell, type, click away. Saved. Empty text on a new cell creates nothing, so stray clicks are harmless.

Rename days & durations

Click a day header to rename it (tasks follow the rename). Click a duration label (e.g. “3 hours”) to change that row's length. All tasks in the row pick up the new duration.

Highlight cells

Right-click (or long-press on touch) a cell to highlight it. Double-click cycles highlight colors. Use it to mark exam days, deadlines or deep-work blocks.

Use 5 layouts

Layouts 1–5 are five independent timetables (e.g. “Semester”, “Holidays”, “Exam week”). Switch from the layout bar, and rename each layout with the gear icon plus an optional description.

Table notes

Below the grid, each day has its own note cards (up to 10 per day) for reminders that don't fit in a time block. Star important ones.

Tip: Typing !wss cc black or !wss cc yellowgreen in the Sunday–Sleep cell unlocks secret themes. Try it.

Today (Focus Mode)

The panel under the timetable shows only today's real tasks. Each card has a timer, a progress bar and a done toggle.

Start the timer

Press START when you begin. The timer keeps running even if you switch tabs. Pause anytime. Time spent syncs to the server.

Finish & get the chime

When time spent reaches the block's duration, the task auto-completes and plays your notification sound. You can also toggle done manually, or reset the timer.

Tip: Pick your notification sound in the header control center so the completion chime is one you'll actually hear.

Streaks tab

A day counts as productive when you complete at least one task. The tab shows your current streak, best streak, total productive days, today's completions, a Monday–Sunday bar chart and a flame row.

Tip: If today is empty, the streak counts from yesterday, so one off-day won't instantly kill a long run, but complete something today to keep it alive.

Notes tab: two kinds of notes

Table Notes live inside a timetable layout (see Schedule). Personal Notes are free-form rich-text notes organised into folders. Your second brain.

Create folders (max 10)

Press ADD FOLDER, name it (e.g. “Ideas”, “College”, “Journal”), and open it. Rename anytime with the gear icon on the folder tab.

Write rich-text notes

Press ADD NOTE. Give it a title, then write with formatting, links and lists. Click the expand icon for a full-screen editor. Everything saves as you type.

Organise by drag & drop

Drag a note onto another folder tab to move it, or drag notes over each other to reorder. Toggle the pencil icon to enter edit mode for bulk reordering: Enter saves, Esc cancels.

Star what matters

Hover a card and hit the star. Starred notes are easier to spot when a folder grows.

Trash & restore

Deleting a personal note or folder moves it to Trash, not to oblivion. Open Trash with the trash-can icon in the notes header (the badge shows how many items are inside).

Restore

In Trash, press Restore on any note or folder. If its original folder was also trashed, the note moves to your first active folder and tells you so.

Delete forever

Press Delete Forever and confirm. This permanently erases the item. It cannot be undone.

Empty trash

Empty Trash permanently deletes everything in Trash at once, after confirmation. Folders deleted this way also remove the notes inside them.

Tip: Deleting a folder trashes the folder and every note inside it together, so nothing is ever half-deleted.

AxeBot AI assistant

The floating chat button opens AxeBot, which can read and edit your schedule and notes (“move my gym block to 6pm”, “summarise this week”, “log what I finished today”).

Bring your own key (BYOK)

Open the header control center → AxeBot settings. Paste an API key and pick a provider + model. Defaults work with OpenRouter; Google, OpenAI, Anthropic and xAI keys are also supported.

Chat & cancel

Ask in plain English. Note content uses HTML behind the scenes, so pasted formatting survives. Hit cancel anytime to stop a long reply.

Tip: Your key is stored with your own settings and only ever sent to the provider you chose.

Settings & sync

The header control center holds: dark / retro theme, notification sound, AxeBot key + provider + model, custom cursor toggle, and retake-tour. The sync badge shows idle, saving, saved or error.

Tip: Changes sync ~0.5s after you stop typing and flush automatically if you close the tab. A saving badge that never clears usually means your session expired, so you'll be sent to re-login and nothing is lost.

FAQ

I was logged out suddenly. Sessions last 30 days and die instantly on logout from any Axe app. Just sign in again on Axe Home.

My note disappeared! Check Trash first (trash-can icon in Notes). If its folder was deleted, the note was trashed with it. Restore the folder, then the note.

Timers vs durations. Changing a row's duration updates every task in that row. Timers track time spent independently, so editing durations never wipes your logged time.
